I am a new member. I have been watching wrestling for years. Hulk Hogan was always my favorite but for current wrestlers I like RVD. I was wondering if anyone taped the ECW PPV off the TV and could burn me a copy. I don't want the edited version you buy in stores. I'd really appreciate it. I am willing to pay for it as well. Thanks

Ring of Honor Results 11-29
The Show was pretty good overall, but far from the best RoH show ive seen. I did get a chance to meet AJ Styles and talk with him, plus he signed my copy of Honor Invades Japan and said his match with Low Ki was "A Fun Match". I also talked to Gary Micheal Cappetta and Devito and met Colt Cabana...anyhoo...
(i also bought Epic Enounter, Revenge on The Prophecy *not in the red dvd box suprisingly, and Night of The Grudges on DVD

Hotstuff/Fast Eddie vs The Backseats was a very well worked Old School style tag match, lots of great mind games and good psychology. Hotstuff seemed off however, as he was apparently on fire the night previous...but ah well. Good match there

The Scramble match was next, and i could only name about three of the special K Members in the match: Dixie, Hydro and Angel Dust..the other two were: One i see all the time but dont know his name (Short, black hair, wears bright blue pants) and the other id NEVER seen and he was pretty awful. The Scramble was average, but not a memerable one

CM Punk vs Jimmy Rave started the gauntlet: Best match of the Gauntlet in terms of match quality. Punk isolated Raves neck and Rave REALLY worked over Punks knee. Finish came with a Pepsi Plunge from the top as Rave was trying a superplex or some other top rope big move

Punk vs Stryker was short with Punk teasing his leg to Stryker and some good mat work before Punk tapped out to the Stryker Lock (i believe)

Stryker vs Cabana was A good FUN match, no spectacular moves by any means but LOTs of playing to the crowd. Cabana is just great...you have to see him live, lol

Stryker vs Whitmer was too short, which was too bad...I think Stryker really did get injuried as he had Whitmer on the top rope, went to lift him and then said very clearly "Ah Shit" and fell over the ropes, hit the ring apron and landed on the floor. The Ref made the X and Rob came out and some more Refs, then suddenly Whitmer pushed everyone aside and threw Stryker in the ring and Hit the Cradle Exploder for a pin...i think the injury was legit, Whitmer just wanted the match to have a result, since it was the end of the Gauntlet

Then it was Intermission...

First match back from Intermission was the Outkast Killas vs Slyk and April Hunter. This was a really good match, just like the opener with good tag psychology and The Outcast Killas scoring what i consider and upset. Everyone looked good in this match...especially April, in more ways than one

Walters vs Xavier was next, this was a FANTASTIC match and the crowd really started to come alive for it. Xavier got good Heat and Walters had the Mass crowd solidly behind him. A ladder even got involved...The match was very good, and Xavier did a post match beat down to get even with walters for the win

Next up was the Tag Title Match...GREAT match, absolutely brilliant tag team wrestling. Everyone was on and it was just a great match. Daniels played the crowd like a fiddle

AJ vs Samoa Joe goes down as one of my fave matches ive seen live. AJ Styles JACKKNIFE Powerbomed SAMOA JOE at one point, it was CRAZY. he also did the patented leap over the rail into a kick, and landed about three feet away from me when he did it. AJ even managed to hit Samoa Joe with the Styles Clash! I forget what the finish was...but it wasnt just a regular move, im sure. Post match Samoa Joe made a speech about RoH and wrestling and why he still loved it, not for the money. He then praised AJ Styles and they hugged, the match got a standing O. GREAT match

Homicide vs Corino was violent but not nearly as intense as there Bitter Friends Battle, plus the crowd was no where near as Alive. Both men busted there asses off however, and it did end up being a very memorable match

So tommorow is the Big Ring of Honor Event in Wakefeild, which could be the best Ring of Honor Show to date.

The Card is:

So the Current Card runsdown like this:

Clockwork Orange House Of Fun in a Steel Cage Match
Raven vs. CM Punk

Opinon: More and More im looking foward to this event, just by what Raven has been pulling off in his matches since he left the WWE and how d**n good Punk is. This will without a doubt be a match to remember

Four Corner Survival Match
Samoa Joe vs. AJ Styles vs. Homicide vs. Jay Briscoe

Opinon: Four Corner Survivals are always amazing, i think this one could top all the ones that came before it. The Sheer level of Talent in this one is Just amazing, and i cant wait to see it

Mark Briscoe vs.

Opinon: Mark was schedualed to face Low Ki, but Ki had to pull out with a broken Jaw. Mark is still going to wrestle, we just dont know who. This will be my frist time seeing Mark wrestle, and im looking foward to it

Tag Team Scramble Match
Backseat Boyz vs. SAT vs. Special K vs. Dunn & Marcos

Opinon: Im really excited for this one as well, as i think it could be one of the best Scrambles to date

Six Man Attraction Match
The Carnage Crew of Justin Credible, Loc & Devito vs. Special K

Opinon: Could be a very FUN match as Ki would say, and will defintly entertain us all. This is sort of the Payback on Credible for him taking out Angel Dust way back at Night of Grudges, and should be a good way to continue this mini fued

Field Of Honor Match
Colt Cabana vs. Jimmy Rave

Opinon: This and Walters vs Stryker are the FOH matches im most looking foward too

Field Of Honor Match
Matt Stryker vs. John Walters

Opinon: Of course now Stryker vs Walters are the ONLY Feild of Honor matches...period

Plus more to be announced with BJ Whitmer, Chris Sabin, Slyk Wagner Brown, April Hunter, Allison Danger, Julius Smokes and others!!!

I am defintly disappointed that there will be no Sabin vs Xavier, and no Low Ki...but i still think RoH can pull this off and make one of the best RoH Shows in History. I think Whitmer vs Slyk Wagner Brown is almost a lock, and that will be a classic match. However if that goes down we still have Sabin and Mark without opponents, but my gut tells me they are going to face one another

Well, my first time posting on this board, anyone going to this show?

I was thinking about posting a review of "Bitter Friends, Stiffer Enemies" but i dont know if that would be suitable for this board, but it was a great show.

RoH Minireview
For a show without anything spectacular, I really enjoyed it. It seemed like they weren't trying to blow us all away for four hours, for once, and as a result the pacing of the show was much better.

London/Styles was very strong. Styles has gotten a lot better at psychology and didn't go overboard with the highspots; London just worked Styles' leg throughout the match. Bonus points for the SSP onto Styles' knee. Pity about the double-pin finish.

The four corner survival match was fun; John Walters is really enjoyable to watch. Pity about Justin Credible. (OK, cheap shot, he didn't do much of note.)

Punk/Cabana vs. Raven/Whittmer was bloody and messy. Punk delivers a kickass promo. The SAT vs. Whipwreck/Dixie match... it's just depressing for me to watch Mikey doing stuff like that when his back is already shot. Spotfest.

The big sixman shoulda come before the Styles/London match. They killed the crowd with the prematch promos. It wasn't so much that they were long, although they were; it was more that they made sure everyone was thinking of both factions as heels. Great, so we should cheer for what exactly? And Michael Shane is not a totally convincing replacement for Steve Corino, particularly when Samoa Joe is doing promos about how great his group is in Zero-One. Still and all, Daniels and Joe came pretty close to saving the whole thing by getting the crowd into it, so it didn't totally suck.

I'd like to see Matt Stryker and Chance Beckett wrestle a match without a totally assholish crowd in the way sometime. I apologize to anyone who was there for not bitching out the idiots behind me earlier. Yeah, I was in the corner next to the food table. Stupid kids who'd just discovered wrestling... really they just needed to be told that the show was in the ring and nobody paid fifteen bucks to hear them yell. They listened OK. Maybe it'll stick.

God, I'm a grumpy old man.

It's in the National Guard Armory again. Looks like a decent card:

Six Man War

Samoa Joe, Steve Corino & CW Anderson of The Group vs The Prophecy of Chris Daniels, Donovan Morgan & Danny Maff

(Nothing to dislike there. I dunno Danny Maff but it'll be nice to see Daniels and Morgan again.)

#1 Contenders Trophy Match

Paul London vs. AJ Styles

(I like Paul London.)

Raven & BJ Whitmer vs. CM Punk & Colt Cabana

(Midwest goodness!)

SAT vs. Mikey Whipwreck & Dixie of Special K

(Yeah, whatever.)

Matt Stryker vs Chance Beckett

(Dunno 'em.)

Four Corner Survival Match

Homicide vs. Chris Sabin vs. John Walters vs. a fourth that will be determined in a match on the 6:30pm Showcase Card.

(Yeah, whatever.)

Tag Team Grudge Match

Carnage Crew vs. Christopher St. Connection

(Not gonna be good.)

Special Showcase Card at 6:30pm

So there it is. The first three listed matches are promising enough for me to head down that way on Saturday.

Possibly I want a 'Gabe killed my interest' T-shirt too, although I heard good things about the Philly show...

RoH 3/15 (Cambridge)
Just thought I'd mention that the card looks like crap:

Special K vs. Low Ki & Da Hit Squad

Tag Team Scramble Match
Winners Receive A Tag Title Shot Later That Night
Backseat Boyz vs. Paul London/AJ Styles vs. SAT vs. Carnage Crew

ROH Tag Title Match
Winners Of Scramble Match vs. Christopher Daniels & Xavier

#1 Contenders Trophy Match
Homicide vs. Samoa Joe vs. EZ Money vs. BJ Whitmer

Raven vs. CM Punk

Amazing Red vs. Slim J

Matt Stryker vs. Chad Collyer

Alex Arion vs Hotstuff Hernandez

I can't see bothering, even though it's right down the road from me. I like watching Paul London, but even assuming he and Styles win the scramble they'll be tired from wrestling already. I might go for Raven, not because I expect much but out of pure fanboy nostalgia. Nothing else interesting on the card.

Of course, next week in Philly they're running Doug Williams vs. Chris Daniels, and a bunch of other pretty decent stuff.
